Official steps: hold M button 3 seconds to enter custom settings; short-press +/- to cycle through 5 setting pages (P1-P5): P1 display unit, P2 screen brightness %, P3 auto power-off timer, P4 power-on PIN password enable/disable and digit configuration, P5 zero-start/non-zero-start option. Short-press M to save each parameter. Also describes trip-data reset (TRIP, TRIP TIME, AVG, MAX) requiring the PIN (default 0000 if the password feature is disabled) and a factory-reset procedure (hold M 5 seconds on the reset screen) that also clears Bluetooth pairing information.
