Official charging protocol (manual p.6-7/p.15/p.18): do not charge if charging port or cord is wet; do not charge/use if battery is damaged or shows water traces; close port cover when not charging; charge only with the original supplied power supply between 0-40C ambient; disconnect battery from charger before folding/unfolding or riding; if leaking, do not touch liquid, wash skin with soap and water, flush eyes 10+ min and seek medical help; do not short-circuit terminals; remove battery before long-term storage; charge at least once a month during storage.
