1. Official 5-step charging procedure (turn scooter off, locate/open charging port cover, connect charger to scooter then to wall outlet; red LED=charging, green=ready). Battery maintenance: dormancy mode triggers after 7+ days unused and needs a charge to reactivate; replace battery once capacity drops below 50% of original; charge at minimum every 3 months to avoid over-discharge; capacity drops ~50% around 0°F/-18°C. Extensive charging/battery safety warning list: use only the original charger and battery supplied with the scooter, never touch USB charging prongs, never expose battery to heat/direct sunlight or a hot car, never pierce/impact the battery, stop charging if it fails to complete within the expected time, never charge below 32°F/0°C or above 104°F/40°C, never charge with a damaged/wet port, rinse and seek medical care on battery-leak skin contact, never disassemble/modify/repair the battery.
