Official protocol: charge fully before first use; use only the supplied external power unit, never a substitute; verify the charge port is dry before connecting; red charger LED = charging, green = complete (a green LED immediately on connection indicates a bad connection, not a full battery); full charge takes ~8h; do not leave charging overnight/unattended for extended periods (accelerates battery degradation); do not charge below 0C or above 40-45C; do not disassemble, puncture, or throw the battery in fire/water; in case of battery leakage, avoid skin/eye contact, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical attention; battery is non-removable/non-user-serviceable - repairs/replacement must go through a qualified technician; dispose of battery and unit separately, never in household waste; scooter cannot power on while connected to the charger.
